This week-end took place Bordeaux Tasting's 4th edition, organized by Terre de Vins magazine. Open to all wine lovers, this must-see event allows to enthusiasts to taste many Bordeaux wines, and more. Indeed, champagnes, cognacs and huge guests from Chablis, Languedoc or Sancerre were there. We also had overseas participants like Argentina, USA or Italy...
Settled down at Palais de la Bourse, in the beautiful place with the same name just in front of the Miroir d'Eau, Bordeaux Tasting has again proved that it's a huge event : Medias are talking about more than 7000 wine enthusiasts in Bordeaux this week-end.
Besides the Musée des douanes opened for overseas participants, Terre de Vins also installed an ephemeral bubble in order to discover Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur wines.
With Grands Clus classés 1855, Crus Classés, Crus Bourgeois, Crus classés de Graves... Our taste buds were thrilled this week-end !
Let it be said at once : with many stands and vintages, we couldn't taste all wines and we had to make choices. There is no doubt that we could have had a crush about wines we didn't taste !
We will remember 2010 and 2011 vintages from Château Grand-Maison (Côtes de Bourg), with light woody flavour cleverly measured and perfectly embed to these round, powerful and fresh wines.
And what about this 2007 Pape Clément, legendary jewel which explode with taste in your mouth : joy of joys.
2011 and 2012 vintages from Château Lanessan honor the Haut-Médoc with rates and comments from specialists which express so well mouth feel.
Time goes by so fast... Obviously we will be back next year.
Congratulations to our winemakers and to the organization !
